At Waldorf Los Caracoles, we provide our students with a holistic education for life, offering tools that allow them to adapt to change, while developing skills and capacities in an environment where they not only receive an education but also integrate and participate with their parents, growing as human beings connected to their community.
Young children require the guidance of a conscious and dedicated adult who cares for their natural rhythms and real needs as human beings in formation. The teachers in this area cultivate perception to create an environment where the child feels that this world is a good place to be.
In the Elementary grades, we advance gradually through an academic curriculum based on a deep understanding of the child’s developmental stages. The teacher ensures a healthy social climate within the group, since without this component individual learning is not possible. Beauty in all its forms is the key during these years.
In Middle School and Junior High, Waldorf Education encourages students to seek truth and certainty, as well as to develop autonomous and critical thinking. At the same time, the curriculum fosters a global vision, guiding them to perceive themselves as citizens of the world.
